Todd Kennedy Volunteer Profile

Todd Kennedy is Senior Vice President at Capital One in charge of US Card’s Machine Learning and Data Strategy. Todd joined the company in 1996 after graduating from the University of Virginia with a degree in Chemical Engineering.  During his time at Capital One, Todd has held multiple leadership roles within the US Card division, including leading the Digital Payments team and leading the team that developed and launched Capital One’s flagship credit card products - Venture and Quicksilver. Todd also previously led Capital One’s Small Business Card organization which gave him an appreciation for the needs and passions of Small Business owners and entrepreneurs.

Todd lived in Boston, Massachusetts and Washington D.C. before moving back to the Charlottesville area seven years ago. He now lives in Keswick with his wife Holly and two sons.  Both Todd and Holly are dedicated and passionate about making Charlottesville a better place and giving back to the community. Todd serves as the Treasurer on the Board of Directors for CIC, Todd also enjoys mentoring and advising entrepreneurs on marketing, staffing and growth strategies.  Holly works as a volunteer therapist at The Women’s Initiative.

Working with CIC has given Todd the opportunity to become more involved in the Charlottesville community. “Small businesses play an important role across the nation and within our community, driving a lot of growth for the economy,” said Todd. “It’s exciting to see the impact we can have in empowering entrepreneurs and helping them succeed.”
